Day 1 - Poem 1
+Aakheperure Meret Sekhmet suggested I try my hand at Cinquain poems. This is a style of poetry that employs a pattern of five lines, typically in one of several forms that have very specific rules. (Think similar to Haikus in terms specific syllabic patterns) My first attempt is merely a five line poem in which line 1 is one word, line 2 is two words, line 3 is three words, line 4 is four words, and line five is one word again. Though I like that by mistake I formed my own syllabic pattern (5 lines-2 syllables, 3, syllables, 4, syllables, 5 syllables, 2 syllables).
Sounds easy, right? Well the trick is in using limited words to still create a vivid image or story. I think my first attempt isn't half bad...
